From high school band to making waves in the Aussie music scene, Calico City is bound to make you rock out and groove! This Boorlo/Perth based 6-piece band consisting of Max McKay, Brianne Reyes, Sienna Law, Tanha Bebek, Jay Jooste and Sam Petrovic, is a band you absolutely need to check out!  

Calico City does an outstanding job blending reggae and rock elements in their music. Their single ‘Ghost’ released on the 24th of September 2025 and it dives right into the reggae genre right off the bat, paired with smooth vocals, you will visualise yourself driving down the coast with a seaside view for sure, juxtaposed with lyrics of escapism, it is single you want to experience.  

This year Calico City released two new singles, ‘Back in the Before’ on the 18th of February and their newest single ‘Gotta Go’ on the 28th of July. Both ‘Back in the Before’ and ‘Gotta Go ‘bring the rock elements right out, paired with groovy elements, you’re sure to be rocking out and swaying to the music!  

Calico City brings a fresh new signature sound to the Aussie music scene. Their debut EP album ‘Second in Line’ releases on the 18th of September, I highly recommend you give them a listen, if you like bands like Ocean Alley and Silverchair, Calico City will surely be added to your playlist!
