Telenova, Telenoir!
By Kim Gray
Melbourne based trio alt pop-rock musicians, Telenova, recently released a Telenoir version of ‘THE DEEP’, ‘VAPOR//SLOWDANCE’ and ‘PARALYSIS GHOSTS’.
So firstly, who is Telenoir?
Telenoir, as described by Telenova, is their “late night alter ego”. Telenoir is best suited for evening listening in comparison to Telenova, but that does not mean it should be limited to such.
Telenoir is melancholic, suave yet creates a sophisticated atmosphere; it is a discography that allows you to envision yourself strutting down a catwalk, having your main character moment (like listening to a moody song on a rainy day as if you’re in your own music video). In the best possible way Telenoir has a high-fashion elevator music feel about it. It sounds futuristic yet makes you want to stand tall with confidence but move fluidly, think black cat energy; you have to experience Telenoir rather than listen to it.
Telenoir’s ability to maintain the essence of the original Telenova tracks but remix them to create a completely different musical atmosphere that still is cohesive to both projects is amazing.
Telenoir’s newest releases are from Telenova’s ‘THE WARNING.’ ’Their version of ‘THE DEEP’ released on April 30th, 2026, and this track evokes an anticipating feeling, adrenaline inducing, like an opening sequence to a sci-fi film.
‘VAPOR//SLOW DANCE’ released on the 21 May 2026, electrifyingly abstract, it is a psychedelic experience.
‘PARALYSIS GHOSTS’ released on the 4 June 2026, a hauntingly groovy track, that makes you move like a main character in your story.
I highly recommend you listen to the original mixes of the songs as well!
While you’re there why not check out Telenoir’s other mixes from previous works such as:
‘Scarlet’ from Telenova’s 2022 album ‘Stained Glass Love.’ This song will have you air drumming and strutting down the street like it’s a runway.
Finally, Telenoir’s mixes of Telenova’s 2024 album ‘Time Is A Flower’ with tracks like ‘Teardrop’, a sophisticated ethereal track that sounds refined and polished. ‘Discotheque Inside my head’, a slowed and hauntingly beautiful version of the original.
You can find even more Telenoir remixes of ‘Time Is A Flower’ in the Deluxe version of the album such as
‘Margot’ has a darker tone and is more distorted than the original.
‘Power’ becomes a haunting dance groove love song.
‘Time Is A Flower’, goes from a slow-paced track to smooth electro upbeat track.
‘January’ transforms from an emotional song to a dark upbeat track.
Fun Fact, you can also listen to “Discotheque Inside my head/ Discothèque Dans Ma Tête” completely in French sung by Angeline in the ‘Time Is A Flower’ Deluxe Album as well.
You’re sure to find a new favourite amongst the mixes and will be eagerly awaiting new releases!
