New Music Monday – 18 March 2024
Let’s start the week off right with some new music! For New Music Monday this week we’ve got some fantastic songs for you to listen to featuring Aussie icons like Sheppard and Eskimo Joe, legendary rockers Bon Jovi, Hellcat Speedracer, Holly Humberstone, and many more.

Aussie pop icons Sheppard are back with another upbeat bop, after ‘leaking’ the track on the band’s TikTok ahead of it’s official release. Edge of the Earth is the band’s first new music of 2024, and heralds a new leaf following their relocation to Nashville. Edge of the Earth is a taste of the trio’s upcoming fourth full-length LP, which will release later this year.

Electronic duo Hellcat Speedracer have teamed up with social media star Millie Ford on their latest single, Lovestruck. With it’s rhythmic beats and funky sound, Lovestruck and it’s accompanying visualiser bring the band’s techno vibes to the forefront.

Artist: Bon Jovi
Rock legends Bon Jovi have released the first single of their upcoming album. The band is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year, and what better way to do that than by releasing the appropriately titled single, Legendary, ahead of their 16th studio album, Forever, which drops in June. A docuseries following the band’s rise to fame will be releasing on Hulu in April, featuring never-before-seen photos and demo songs.

Artist: Holly Humberstone
Holly Humberstone is back with her sweet, melodic vocals. Down Swinging is Track 3 on her latest EP, work in progress, which released on March 15. With it’s soft yet upbeat sound, Down Swinging is the perfect anthem for everyone who keeps trying, and keeps going.

Artist: Eskimo Joe
Alt-rock item Eskimo Joe are back for the first since 2021. Their latest single dropped last week, following a jam-packed 2023. The First Time has a familiar sound that long-time fans of the band will recognise. Described as an ode to nostalgia, The First Time is a fantastic start to the year for a classic Australian band.
