Conservation of Koala Habitats
The continued destruction of habitat is affecting koala populations nationwide.
We sat down with Dr Karl Vernes, a lecturer at UNE, to discuss threats to koalas and what can be done to address them.
Karl explains that in order to save the koalas, we need to save the forests.
“We have to be conserving the forests they live in if we’re going to conserve koalas, and that will help a whole lot of other species.”
