Orientation Interviews: Dr Pierre Moens

The last (but certainly not least) of our interviews as part of Orientation Week was Dr Pierre Moens, Associate Professor in UNE’s School of Science and Technology.

Dr Moens teaches in a variety of areas including human metabolism, exercise physiology, the human muscular system and fluorescence spectroscopy.

He teaches HHSC112: Science for Nurses 2, the second introductory science unit for Nursing students. It helps to gain knowledge of the urinary, respiratory, musculoskeletal, digestive, endocrine and reproductive activities and their roles in maintaining homeostasis. It also introduces students to human development and ageing and changes that are seen in various systems over the human lifespan.

To find out more about this unit, check out the Unit Information page here.
