Orientation Interview – Aaron Driver

Ben and Kim were joined in the studio by Aaron Driver, who was gracious enough to sit down and discuss his area of teaching. Aaron is a Lecturer from the UNE Business School and has been working as both a journalist and a teacher during his time at UNE.

Aaron is a teacher of marketing and originally taught marketing in France before starting his own marketing agency here in Australia. We were excited to hear more about this experience and Aaron was happy to talk to us about the challenges, rewards, and opportunities it brings. His current area of research focuses on narrative persuasion and behaviour change in the domains of biosecurity and climate change.

MM110 – Fundamentals of Marketing is the unit taught by Aaron Driver, which gives business students and particularly marketing students a basic knowledge of the principles and skills needed to progress through the world of marketing and business. If you would like to find out more about this unit, you can do so here.

This interview is part of a series of Orientation Interviews, designed to make first-year students feel more at ease and reassured about what they can expect at UNE. Starting out at University can be highly overwhelming and we want to make sure that we do everything we can to ensure that students feel as comfortable as possible.

Aaron did stress to us that any students feeling a little nervous or apprehensive about starting university in the Business School or studying this particular unit were more than welcome to contact him via email at adriver3@une.edu.au or by phone on 02 6673 3550. More information on his background, publications, academic history and much more can be found here.
