Rural and Remote Australia Facing Pharmacy Workforce Shortages

Ash sits down with Associate Professor Heather Volk from Charles Darwin University to discuss the driving forces behind pharmacy workforce shortages in rural and remote Australia.

The discipline lead for Pharmacy at CDU, Ms Volk also has extensive experience in the pharmacy industry, having run a country pharmacy in northern NSW for many years.

The fear is that without enough pharmacists and pharmaceutical workers in these areas, the communities will suffer and struggle to get the necessary care.
